Voluntary Scientific Year

Voluntary scientific year at the Chair of Building Materials Technology?

At our chair, everything revolves around concrete and mortar in structural and civil engineering: Increasingly complex construction projects demand specific properties of fresh and hardened concrete. In order to be installed reliably, it must have a specific flowability and mixing stability, or it must be particularly strong and durable for the highest stresses, such as in onshore and offshore wind turbines.

Does this arouse your scientific curiosity?

In the Voluntary Scientific Year, you can actively support us in various projects and participate in the research of novel and more environmentally friendly building materials - from the laboratory tests to the evaluation of the measurement results and the conclusions drawn from the results.

If you want to do experimental and theoretical research yourself and get an insight into scientific work in the field of civil engineering, this is the right place for you! Your contact person at the chair is Niklas Schäfer.
