Effects of increased fresh concrete and curing temperatures on the durability of concrete

Project duration: 01.09.2024 – 30.08.2026

The aim of the research project is to quantify the influence of the fresh concrete temperature (TFB) and the ambient temperature during hardening (TUB) on the concrete properties. The work will focus on the influence on the durability-relevant properties of different groups of concretes. On the other hand, methods and instructions for practical application are to be developed in order to be able to construct durable and sustainable concrete structures even in the event of future heat waves of increasing duration and intensity, taking into account current concrete technology.
